The Daily Snapshot
Reports opens on the Daily Snapshot — one day, one location, the whole story: gross sales, order count, average sale, refunds, and the rounding gain/loss if you round cash change. Below the tiles: the tender breakdown (cash net of change, card, check, EBT), fees collected by name, tax collected, discounts given, and an hourly sales curve in your store's local timezone — the chart that tells you when to double-staff.
The Reports page is also the hub: a grid links to every other report — sales, inventory and low stock, item movement, taxes and fees, discounts, age verification, loyalty, payouts, rentals, scan data, loss prevention, dead stock, AR aging, batches, and banks.
Custom sales reports
Reports → Sales is the build-your-own report: pick a date range and location, then group by whatever answers the question — item, category, department, brand, staff, hour of day, day, tender, or order type. Each grouping shows orders, units, gross, discounts, net, and percent of total, with an Export CSV button for the spreadsheet crowd. A useful view you'll run again? Save it and it's one click next time.
Loss prevention
Reports → Loss Prevention watches the behaviors that precede shrink, per employee, over a 7/30/90-day window: voids, refunds, discount dollars and percent, no-sales (drawer opens without a sale), payout dollars, and cash over/short on the banks they worked.
A behavior gets flagged when it runs at twice the store average or more (with minimum-activity floors so one void in a quiet week doesn't light anyone up). Flags are signals, not verdicts — the footer shows the store baselines, and the Orders list and Activity Log are your drill-down for the conversation that follows.
Scorecard and snapshot emails
Two digests come to you, no login required:
- Daily Snapshot email — yesterday's numbers in your inbox every morning. Set the recipients and the send time (default 6:30 AM, store local time) on the Reports page.
- Weekly Scorecard — Monday morning (default 7:00 AM), last week versus the week before: gross and sales with up/down percentages, average sale, and your top five items.
The tablet app can also push the daily snapshot as a notification — see Hardware & Apps.
Card batches
Batches is where card sales settle. The open-batch panel shows each location's unbatched card total and count with a Close Batch button; closing stamps every card payment since the last close into a numbered batch and records the totals. Each batch page lists every payment — time, order, card brand and last four, auth code — with a per-brand summary, print-ready for matching against your processor's deposit.
One operational rule flows from batching: a completed order's card payment can be voided from the order page only before it's batched (the terminal reverses it in the same batch). After the batch closes, make it right with a refund at the register instead.
Scan data (tobacco)
If you sell tobacco under the Altria or R.J. Reynolds retail programs, Reports → Scan Data builds your weekly submission file: the Sunday–Saturday week's tobacco transactions with UPCs, units of measure, multi-pack and loyalty fields, refunds as negative rows. Files are due the Tuesday after week's end; the report warns you about missing UPCs or units of measure before the manufacturer's validator does.
Configure your account numbers, participating departments, and SFTP credentials under Settings → Scan Data, and flag the items themselves (manufacturer, pack quantity) from the same place. The Altria DTP download produces the official 45-field format once your account number is set; manufacturer-funded promos flagged in the Promotions module flow through automatically.
The rest of the shelf
Quick hits on the remaining reports: Item Movement ranks units and revenue by item over any range. Inventory & Low Stock values your stock at cost and lists everything at or below its low level. Taxes & Fees breaks collections down by tax group for filing. Discounts & Promos shows where margin went, by reason and by promo. Loyalty tracks the outstanding points liability in dollars. Age Verification is the append-only compliance log of every ID check — when, what, who, method, pass/fail. Rentals covers timed-rental usage and revenue, and AR Aging lives in the Customers chapter.
